Eligibility

Soroptimists welcome application for membership from any woman who wants to advance human rights and the status of women. There is no restriction based on age, race or cultural background. We're looking for highly motivated and successful individuals in the community. Soroptimists are accountants, advertising executives, architects, artists, attorneys, bankers, business owners, doctors, engineers, government executives, and community activists, and more.

Applying for Membership

The process is simple!

• Attend at least three meetings to make sure this is the organization for you. (Come to the first meeting as our guest. At subsequent meetings, the cost is $15 per week.)
• Find a current member who is willing to sponsor your application.
• Fill out the Membership Application and return it to your sponsor.
• The Membership Committee will verify your eligibility and make a recommendation to the Board of Directors.
• With Board approval you will be welcomed into membership at the club's next monthly business meeting.

Costs

Annual membership dues are $175. Breakfasts at weekly program meetings are $30/month, September through June. Each member also makes a $200 contribution to our Community Assistance Fund as part of our membership obligation.

Transferring or Rejoining Members

Application for transfer of membership from another Soroptimist Club is acted upon by the Board after receipt of recommendations from the Board of the transferring member’s club. Any previous member of this club may be reinstalled with Board approval. Any previous member who left with financial obligations outstanding must pay those obligations before reinstatement.
